International Business Company (IBC)

The Belize International Business Companies Act, established in 1990 and based heavily on the British Virgin Island’s model, allows for Belize IBC formations.

A Belize IBC is a company with limited liability that can be incorporated within 24 hours in Belize. The Belize IBC is fully exempt from paying any form of tax in Belize. There is no requirement to file annual returns or public disclosure of directors, shareholders, charges, loans or agreements. Registration of loans, charges or transactions are optional. The Belize IBC can open bank accounts in Belize (or elsewhere) in its own name.
